NALCO bags EEPC Export Award

Bhubaneswar, 15/01/2015: National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), the Navratna PSU and India’s leading manufacturer-exporter of alumina and aluminium, has bagged the EEPC (Engineering Export Promotion Council, Eastern Region)’s Gold Trophy, as Top Exporter in the Large Enterprise Category, for its outstanding export performance during the year 2012-13.
On behalf of the company, S. Samantaray, DGM(Mktg.) received the award from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, former President of India, at EEPC Regional Award Ceremony for Export Excellence 2012-2013, held at Kolkata on January 14.
During the financial year 2012-13, NALCO has achieved sales turnover of Rs.7247 crore, including the export earnings of Rs.3410 crore.
It may be mentioned here that NALCO enjoys Premier Trading House status, and it is the first Indian aluminium company to be registered with London Metal Exchange, for its high quality products.
