TOLIC Meeting at Nalco

Bhubaneswar, 27/06/2014: The second meeting of Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) (Undertakings), Bhubaneswar, under the Department of Official Language, Govt. of India, was held under the aegis of Nalco, here on 25th June. Shri Ansuman Das, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Nalco, presided over the meeting. It may be mentioned that the Department of Official Language, Govt. of India has selected Shri Das as the Chairman of this Committee. Speaking at this occasion, Shri Das cited this Committee as a major instrument in expediting the implementation of Hindi as official language in Government sector.
Shri S.C. Padhy, Director (HR), Shri A.K. Sahu, Executive Director (H&A), Shri Sarad Kumar, Director, Airport Authority of India, Bhubaneswar, Shri Nirmal Kumar Dubey, Deputy Director, Eastern Office (Kolkata), Department of Official Language, also graced the occasion. Speaking at this occasion, the Shri S.C. Padhy, who is also the Vice Chairman of the Committee, advised the representatives to make concerted effort to enhance the standard of the Committee as one of the best committees in implementing the use of Hindi. Shri A.K. Sahu stress on taking innovative steps towards popularizing Hindi. Shri Dubey, in his speech, emphasized on the timely online uploading of the quarterly progress report of the Committee.
The representatives from different PUSs put forth their problems in implementing Hindi as Official Language and Shri Dubey tried to address these issues. Shri Sudarsan Tarai, AGM(Rajbhasa), NALCO and Member Secretary of the Committee delivered the welcome address and coordinated the meeting. At the end, Shri Harirama Pansari proposed the vote of thanks.
